Daemyung Enterprise, WEBGATE division(www.webgateinc.com) had won the “Compliance Leadership Award” from HDcctv Alliance. The awards ceremony was held at China Public Security Expo(CPSE) in Shenzhen. Through this third consecutive prestigious award, WEBGATE once again proved to be the leading company in the HD-CCTV market.
HDcctv Alliance is an international standard association for HD-CCTV video surveillance products which are based on HD-SDI(High-Definition Serial Digital Interface) transmission technology. Since its establishment in 2009, more than 60 members of companies all around the world have joined the alliance, and they are working actively to prosper HD-CCTV market. One of the major roles of HDcctv Alliance is product verification to see if it meets HDcctv standard and to grant the certificate.
In October, WEBGATE acquired new HDcctv certificates for 12 PoC camera models and 11 non-PoC camera models including box, indoor/outdoor dome and bullet types. So, after receiving the World’s First HDcctv camera certificate in 2010, WEBGATE have acquired total of 39 certificates for DVR, camera and converter products up to now. This award also means that HD-CCTV market has recognized WEBGATE’s tireless new product development, the effort to spread significant system installation cases, holding customer seminars for the year 2013.
Especially, recently released PoC cameras and DVR can provide one cable solution of HD-CCTV products which support not only Full-HD video transmission but also PoC(Power over Coax) and CoC(Control over Coax) functions through coaxial cable. It has meaningful signification which suggested the new direction of HD-CCTV product development.

According to IMS research published this year, HD-CCTV will have full-scale growth from 2013 and will have average 64% growth rate to 2017, and expected to have 1.4 billion market share.

One of major leading company in HD-CCTV market, WEBGATE(www.webgateinc.com) launched the most advanced 4ch HD-SDI DVR, HDC400F-PD which can record & playback Full-HD video at 120/100FPS.
This product supports 30/25FPS monitoring per channel and provides lossless Full-HD video, 1200TVL high resolution during playback. Besides, it has lighting arrester for input/ output ports, eSATA port for external storage interface, and supports WEBGATE’s CMS, Control Center which connects up to 1,024 DVRs.
Because HDC400F-PD supports PoC(Power over Coax), DVR can supply necessary power to cameras through coaxial cable, and its CoC(Control over Coax) function supports camera’s OSD menu control, zoom/focus control, firmware upgrade, and one-push auto focus through same coaxial cable. It means that system operator does not need to go to the place where cameras are installed because DVR provides the easiest way to control camera.
Additionally, this DVR has built-in DoubleReachTM receiver. Because this technology compresses Full-HD video to the undistinguishable video level by naked eye, it extends HD-SDI transmission distance by two times(up to 400m) when it compared with conventional HD-SDI.
PoC/CoC function can work together with C1080P series camera models, and DoubleReachTM function needs dedicated transmitter DR101P-TX for camera interface.
Currently, WEBGATE is in promotion of 16ch Full-Frame HD-SDI DVR, HD1600F-PDR as well as HDC400F-PD. With its own PoC/CoC HD-SDI cameras, converters including PoC repeater, and various new HD-SDI DVR products, WEBGATE is pioneering a new market in which Full-HD video surveillance is much easier to build than conventional analog CCTV system.

The Korea Western Power Co., Ltd. (KOWEPO), a leading supplier of power industry, supplies approximately 13% of the nationally generated energy. Its businesses, plants and construction, are composed in 6 places: Taean, Pyeontaek, Incheon and Gunsan. Because KOWEPO is one of the key company which supplies energy in the western area of Korea, these facilities required strict surveillance for the security.
Requests
Because deterioration of existing analog surveillance system needs to be replaced and recently installed megapixel IP camera system is showing frame loss and video delay, they wanted another solution which can provide smooth PTZ control by full-frame monitoring without video delay.
New system should receive alarm signal from infrared, microwave and tension sensors which are installed on the fences, and provide alarm popup video on the monitors of central monitoring room. New Surveillance system should keep recording data for more than 6 months, and should interwork with the existing IP cameras, and provide video analytic functions for efficient intrusion monitoring.
Result
To satisfy the needs of the Korea Western Power, WEBGATE proposed HD-CCTV solution which can provide 30FPS Full-HD video without video delay, and it was accepted. Alarm signal from sensors is delivered to 20x HD-SDI PTZ (C1080PT-Z20), and then delivered to central monitoring room by RS485 line. 8ch HD DVR(HD800H) receives the alarm event, and sends command to the CMS (Control Center) to popup the alarm video on monitors.
Fiber-optic solution was adopted for video transmission and RS485 for PTZ control because of its ability to transmit to longer distance, and WEBGATE’s external storage (NVS04R) was installed for 6 months data retention. Additionally, video data from HD DVR is delivered to video analytic server and it automatically catches trespassers.
Existing IP camera, interworking with WEBGATE’s NVR (NVS04S), is now being tested to provide integrated video surveillance solution of HD-CCTV & IP system, and additional HD-CCTV installation in other power plants is currently under review.
