DoubleReach™ Converters with Innovative HD-SDI Video Transmission Distance

WEBGATE(www.webgateinc.com) released DoubleReach Transmitter(DR101P-TX) and Receiver(DR101P-RX) units. These newly released DoubleReach converters extended the HD-SDI system’s Full-HD video transmission distance innovatively.

Generally, HD-SDI video’s transmission distance is approximately 200m using the optimum 5C-HFBT coaxial cable. On the other hand, WEBGATE’s DoubleReach technology converts the HD-SDI video data from 1.5Gb/s to 270Mb/s and extends HD-SDI transmission distance up to approximately 400m. That is twice as more improved when compared with conventional HD-SDI’s transmission performance.

Even though this DoubleReach technology is useful for new installation sites where require HD video surveillance system, it is especially useful when it comes to upgrading existing analog CCTV system because low performance or degraded existing cable can be effectively used to transmit HD-SDI video signal. Moreover, these DoubleReach converters provide transmission solution where the transmission distance exceeds more than 200m, which makes the users to configure HD video surveillance system with ease.

Because these converters support PoC(Power over Coax) and CoC(Control over Coax) functions at the same time, DVR can supply power to PoC camera through coaxial cable, controls camera OSD menu, runs Zoom/Focus through the coaxial cable.
